Feng Shui Basics - Children's Bedroom

Your children's bedroom is a sanctuary for them to sleep and their toys should actually be in a separate room. Too many times people put all of their kids items in their bedroom and wonder why their child is hyper, having trouble sleeping, is agitated or irritable. When there is too much in their room it is an emotional, mental and psychological mental overload. It is far too stimulating.
First things first - take all of their toys out of the room and decide what toys need to stay and what toys can be moved on. If you have a lounge room or enclosed garage space, I would convert this space to be the playroom or build a tiny home in your backyard to be their play area. Children can actually have too many toys and so a cull can also add in them enjoying their toys and not be overwhelmed or overloaded.
Ensure each morning you are opening their blinds and windows to let in fresh light and air.
Change their bed sheets once a week at a minimum - sprinkle baking soda and essential oils on the mattress then vacuum the mattress to prevent dust mites, bed bugs and remove odours.
Remove their books from the space and have all the books in the library room or lounge room - the authors energy is in the books and that energy can be felt in the room so separate that energy from sleep space and active space.
All of their clothes need to be the right size for them and folded in the drawers hanging on the coat hangers. Their shoes should be on the shoe rack in the mud room or hallway - the outside world energy shouldn't be in their sleep space.
A diffuser for breathing and air purifying is great for a restorative night's sleep.
You can have 1-2 pictures on the wall but be intentional that the images are soothing and calming.
No mirror in the bedroom - you can have a mirror in the hallway or bathroom - you don't need that negative energy in the room - or the mirror must be covered each night as they sleep.
As cute as the children's sheets are - it's important your children's bedding is calming and soothing, don't buy into capitalism and commercialism - your child's sleep space matters
Vacuum the floors once a week, dust the cornices and skirting boards once a week.
As you implement these changes, see a change in your childs behaviour.
